At a glance

Prada’s Spring/Summer 2024 womenswear collection places light, floating dresses alongside architectural interpretations of menswear tailoring. Its accessories bring the house’s earliest history into the present: a bag conceived by Mario Prada around 1913 returns in new materials. The setting extends the clothes’ interest in fluidity, with moving partitions of pink slime interrupting a metal-lined space.

Lightness

Floating fabrics loosen the relationship between a garment and the body beneath it.

Formal shapes, reconsidered

Elements of menswear tailoring become a starting point for architectural womenswear silhouettes.

An archive revisited

A 1913 handbag is reinterpreted in nappa leather and Re-Nylon, retaining its distinctive carved clasp.

The setting

Pink slime formed shifting divisions across the showspace. Metal surfaces, a peach-coloured floor and a pink ceiling provided its architectural frame.
