Brand intelligence
Canada Goose
Canada Goose is a Toronto outerwear company founded by Sam Tick as Metro Sportswear in 1957. The business produced woollen vests, raincoats and snowmobile clothing before David Reiss developed down-filling machinery and the Snow Goose label; Dani Reiss later consolidated the business under the Canada Goose name and expanded direct retail. Canada Goose Holdings Inc. is publicly listed and closely aligned with the consumer brand, but financial figures still retain their consolidated company scope, period and currency rather than being treated as sales of a single parka line.
