Seán McGirr
Seán McGirr is an Irish fashion designer from Dublin and a graduate of Central Saint Martins’s MA Fashion programme. Before joining McQueen, he led ready-to-wear at JW Anderson, having first worked on the men’s and then women’s collections. Earlier in his career he designed womenswear at Dries Van Noten and worked on UNIQLO’s menswear design team under Christophe Lemaire from 2014 to 2018. Kering appointed McGirr Creative Director of Alexander McQueen in October 2023. His appointment places him in charge of the house’s creative direction, distinct from Lee Alexander McQueen’s founding role and the company’s executive leadership.
