Olivier Bernhard

Olivier Bernhard is a Swiss former professional athlete and a co-founder of On. After competing in duathlon and triathlon, he pursued a running-shoe idea intended to combine a soft landing with an efficient take-off. Bernhard tested early prototypes with a Swiss engineer and then partnered with David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti; the three founded On in Zürich in 2010. His athlete experience and product testing were central to the original CloudTec proposition. Bernhard has remained associated with product innovation and serves on the board of On Holding AG; that founder and governance relationship is recorded separately from the company's current executive co-chairmen and operating management.
