Jun Takahashi
Jun Takahashi is a Japanese fashion designer and the founder of Undercover. Born in 1969, he studied at Bunka Fashion College and began the label in Tokyo in 1990, developing it alongside the city's music, street and independent retail communities. Undercover's first runway presentation took place for Autumn/Winter 1994–95, and Takahashi debuted the women's collection in Paris for Spring/Summer 2003. His work connects tailored construction and textile experimentation with punk, film, art and narrative collection concepts. Takahashi continues to direct the house; collaborations are stored as milestones rather than separate creative-lead appointments.
