Jacques Agbobly

Jacques Agbobly is a Togolese designer and Founder and Creative Director of Agbobly, the New York ready-to-wear label he created in 2020 after graduating from Parsons. The brand began with made-to-order knitwear and has expanded into handcrafted womenswear, menswear and ready-to-wear. Agbobly draws on childhood memories in Togo and uses hand-knit, beadwork, embroidery and colour to foreground African craft and heritage within a contemporary fashion context. He was a semi-finalist for the 2024 LVMH Prize. The directory records Agbobly as an independent, founder-led label and connects the person to it directly.
