Agbobly

Agbobly is the New York high-end ready-to-wear label founded in 2020 by Togolese designer Jacques Agbobly after graduating from Parsons. It began with a knit dress and developed through made-to-order knitwear into womenswear, menswear and handcrafted ready-to-wear. Agbobly’s work draws on the designer’s memories of Togo and places hand-knit, beadwork, embroidery and saturated colour in conversation with African craft and a New York fashion context. Jacques Agbobly is Founder and Creative Director. The page preserves that designer-led structure and the label’s early development without translating prize recognition, stockists or press attention into unverified company-size or financial claims. Agbobly was a semi-finalist for the 2024 LVMH Prize.
