Anthony Vaccarello
Anthony Vaccarello is a Belgian fashion designer and Creative Director of Saint Laurent. He studied fashion at La Cambre in Brussels and first gained recognition in the Hyères Festival competition in 2006. After working at Fendi, he launched his own label in 2009 and received the ANDAM Fashion Award in 2011. He became Creative Director of Versus Versace in 2015, a role that ended in 2016, before Kering appointed him to lead Saint Laurent with effect from 4 April 2016. His Saint Laurent remit covers the house’s creative direction, distinct from the CEO’s operating role and Kering’s group-level responsibilities. Vaccarello’s career connects an independent design practice with leadership at two major Italian and French fashion houses. Kering records his 2006 Hyères award as the festival’s Grand Prize.
