At a glance
The collection sets different expressions of Saint Laurent femininity alongside each other. Black leather and jewellery suggest one register; flowing shapes and saturated colour offer another. Evening silhouettes associated with portraiture are remade in technical textiles. The contrasts allow familiar house references to read through material and attitude rather than as a single period costume.
Contrasting identities
Leather, colour and evening dress offer different ways of inhabiting the same house vocabulary.
Technical eveningwear
Modern textiles change the character of silhouettes associated with formal portraiture.
Paris after dark
The Trocadéro setting places the clothes within the house’s continuing image of the city.
The setting
Presented on 29 September 2025 at the Fontaines du Trocadéro. White hydrangeas traced the YSL Cassandre in the runway setting beneath the Eiffel Tower.
