At a glance
The apron becomes the collection’s organising garment. Its associations with domestic, clinical and industrial work shift as cotton, leather, lace and embroidery alter its appearance. Robust accessories and workwear fabrics sit alongside ruffles and decorative surfaces. References to the documentary photography of Dorothea Lange and Helga Paris place the clothes within a longer visual history of labour.
The apron reconsidered
A protective garment becomes a way to recognise forms of work that are often overlooked.
Utility and decoration
Strong leather and practical fabrics meet lace, ruffles and embroidery.
Work made visible
The collection connects clothing to effort, care and independence.
The setting
Shown on 6 October 2025 at Palais d’Iéna. Contrasting Formica tables transformed the space into an abstract everyday workplace.
