Selfridges

Selfridges is a British department-store retailer founded by Harry Gordon Selfridge, whose Oxford Street store opened in London in March 1909. Its approach brings fashion, beauty, food and other categories together with window displays, events and cultural programming. The business expanded to Manchester Trafford in 1998, Manchester Exchange Square in 2002 and Birmingham's Bullring in 2003, alongside its online store. Selfridges is part of Selfridges Group. In October 2024, Central Group announced a partnership under which it would hold 60% and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund 40% of the group's operating and property companies. That announcement concerned the wider Selfridges Group, which also includes other department-store businesses.
