Selfridges

Selfridges is the British department-store business founded by Harry Gordon Selfridge, whose Oxford Street flagship opened in 1909. The retailer operates stores in London, Birmingham and Manchester alongside digital commerce, combining fashion, beauty, accessories, home, food, restaurants, events and cultural programming. Its identity has long centred on retail theatre, commissioning and experiential presentation as well as product selection. Central Group acquired Selfridges Group in 2022, with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund becoming a minority shareholder in 2024.
