Le Bon Marché

Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche is the Paris department store founded in 1852 by Aristide and Marguerite Boucicaut. Often described as the world’s first department store, it combines women’s, men’s and childrenswear, accessories, beauty, tableware, design, food and exhibitions at 24 rue de Sèvres, with art and cultural programming integral to its retail identity. The business is part of LVMH Selective Retailing and is led by Patrice Wagner as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Le Bon Marché Group. The directory separates the store’s curatorial activity and operating leadership from the creative authorship of the labels it carries. LVMH Selective Retailing figures cover multiple maisons and cannot be labelled as Le Bon Marché-only financial performance unless LVMH provides that direct attribution. Store exclusives and pop-ups remain dated retail context, not ownership or permanent distribution claims.
