Retail intelligence
Harvey Nichols
Harvey Nichols is the British luxury retailer whose Knightsbridge business began in 1831, when Benjamin Harvey opened a linen shop at the corner of Knightsbridge and Sloane Street. The present-day business combines carefully edited fashion and beauty with accessories, food, restaurants and hospitality, operating in the UK, Ireland and selected international locations. Dickson Poon acquired Harvey Nichols in 1991 through Dickson Concepts, while the retailer has retained a distinct store and digital identity. Its fashion relevance lies in selection, service and cultural retail presentation; it does not own the creative work, financial performance or leadership of every designer it stocks. The directory therefore treats brand listings, launches and dining or beauty activations as time-sensitive retail context. Parent-company data, store count claims and group-level metrics are not used as proxies for Harvey Nichols-only revenue, profit, valuation or individual supplier relationships.
