Wes Gordon
Wes Gordon is an American fashion designer and Creative Director of Carolina Herrera. Raised in Atlanta, he studied at Central Saint Martins and graduated in 2009; that year he moved to New York and launched his namesake womenswear line. He presented it in New York from 2010 to 2016 and received Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Award while also becoming a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist. In March 2017, Gordon began consulting with Carolina Herrera. The house appointed him Creative Director in 2018, succeeding its founder in the collection role as she became Global Brand Ambassador. His creative remit spans the label’s ready-to-wear, bridal and eyewear platforms. The consultation period is distinct from the later director appointment, rather than being backdated as if Gordon had held the formal title from his first year working with the house.
