Fashion career profile

Steven Stokey-Daley

Steven Stokey-Daley is a British fashion designer from Liverpool and the founder of S.S. Daley. He graduated from the University of Westminster’s BA Fashion Design course in 2020 and established the label that year. His work reworks British school and aristocratic dress through a working-class perspective, often combining romantic and literary references with menswear codes. Before building his own studio, he gained experience on the menswear teams at Alexander McQueen and Tom Ford. S.S. Daley entered the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN scheme in 2021 and won the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers in 2022. The label also received the 2022 British Fashion Award for Best Emerging Designer. In January 2024, the company announced Harry Styles as a minority investor; Styles is an investor, not a co-designer. Daley’s profile keeps his creative leadership distinct from that outside investment and records the label as an independent house.
