Steve Madden
Steve Madden is an American footwear entrepreneur, product merchant and the founder of his namesake company. He started the business in Queens in 1990 with $1,100, initially selling shoes directly to independent New York retailers from the trunk of a car. Madden combined close observation of music, street style and customer demand with rapid footwear development, helping turn the company into a public multi-brand group. He remains identified by the company as founder and Creative & Design Chief.
