Fashion career profile
Stefan Cooke
Stefan Cooke is a British fashion designer and one half of the London label Stefan Cooke, which he founded with Jake Burt in 2018. The pair graduated from Central Saint Martins’ MA Fashion Design programme that year and received the L’Oréal Professionnel Creative Award for their graduating collection. Cooke’s work is known for manipulating familiar menswear materials and silhouettes through knit, cut and construction, while the studio has expanded from menswear into womenswear. The designers were selected for the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN programme and reached the final stages of the LVMH Prize in 2019 and 2020. The label’s work has included a collaboration with Lee Jeans and a 2024 creative project with Solid Homme. In 2025, Cooke introduced a full womenswear collection. The profile distinguishes Cooke’s own design role from Burt’s parallel co-founder and creative contribution.
