Simon Porte Jacquemus
Simon Porte Jacquemus is a French designer who founded his namesake fashion house in Paris in 2009, using his mother’s maiden name. He began presenting during Paris Fashion Week in 2012 and was awarded the LVMH Prize’s Special Prize in 2015. Jacquemus has developed ready-to-wear and accessories for women and men, drawing on French visual culture, photography, cinema and art. Its runway presentations have used settings from lavender fields in Provence and salt marshes in the Camargue to the Château de Versailles and Fondation Maeght. The company’s legal notice identifies him as President, while he continues to lead the house’s creative direction. In March 2025 Sarah Benady joined as Chief Executive Officer, creating a separate executive-management role alongside Jacquemus’s founder and creative responsibilities.
