Rolf Snoeren

Rolf Snoeren is a Dutch fashion designer and, with Viktor Horsting, co-founder and co-creative director of the Amsterdam-based house Viktor&Rolf. The two met while studying at ArtEZ in Arnhem, graduating in 1992, and established their partnership the following year. Their early work won all three top prizes at the 1993 Salon Européen des Jeunes Stylistes in Hyères, helping introduce a design language that treats clothing as both fashion and conceptual art. Since then, the pair have built a practice spanning sculptural haute couture, ready-to-wear, bridalwear, eyewear and fragrance. Viktor&Rolf is known for turning runway presentation into part of the work itself, using theatrical scale, text and transformation to question fashion conventions. The house remains part of OTB Group, while Snoeren and Horsting continue to share its creative leadership; this profile preserves the partnership rather than assigning sole authorship to either founder.
