Fashion career profile

Remo Ruffini

Remo Ruffini is an Italian entrepreneur who has led Moncler since acquiring the company in 2003. He repositioned the historic outerwear label as a global luxury business and took it public on Borsa Italiana in 2013. In 2018 he introduced Moncler Genius, a collaborative project that brought distinct creative voices into the house. Under his leadership, Moncler announced the acquisition of Stone Island in 2020 and completed it on March 31, 2021. From April 1, 2026, Bartolomeo Rongone became Group Chief Executive Officer and Ruffini became Executive Chairman. Ruffini retained responsibility for Moncler’s creative direction and the group’s strategic direction. His current remit thus combines group governance with a continuing creative responsibility for the Moncler brand; it is distinct from the Group CEO’s operating role and from Stone Island’s own brand leadership.
