Matthieu Blazy
Matthieu Blazy is a Belgian fashion designer and the artistic director of CHANEL’s fashion activities. He trained at La Cambre in Brussels and began his career in Paris fashion studios before working at Maison Margiela, where he contributed to the Artisanal and ready-to-wear collections. He later held design roles at Celine and Calvin Klein, then joined Bottega Veneta, becoming its creative director in 2021. At Bottega Veneta he worked across the house’s collections and material-led craft identity. CHANEL announced his appointment in December 2024; he joined the house in 2025 with responsibility for the fashion activities, including couture, ready-to-wear and accessories. His current remit is therefore broader than a single seasonal line.
