Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs is an American fashion designer who graduated from Parsons School of Design in 1984 and launched his namesake label with business partner Robert Duffy in 1986. Early recognition included the Perry Ellis collections, after which Jacobs built an independent house spanning ready-to-wear, accessories and fragrance. Louis Vuitton appointed him Artistic Director in 1997; during his sixteen-year tenure he established the French house’s first ready-to-wear line and led its seasonal collections until 2013.
