Kei Ninomiya
Kei Ninomiya is a Japanese fashion designer and Artistic Director of Noir Kei Ninomiya. He graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University in French literature and later attended Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Ninomiya joined Comme des Garçons as a pattern maker in 2008. The company gave him his own label in 2012, and he presented its first collection in October of that year for Spring/Summer 2013. Noir’s designs are recognised for intricate structures and three-dimensional forms assembled through techniques that minimise conventional sewing.
