Jonathan Anderson

Jonathan Anderson is a Northern Irish fashion designer whose career has moved between an independent label and senior creative leadership at major European houses. He established JW Anderson in 2008 with menswear, expanded into womenswear in 2010, and developed a practice that crosses clothing, accessories, objects and exhibition-making. In 2013 he became Creative Director of Loewe, where he worked across fashion and leather goods and helped foreground the house’s craft heritage; that tenure ended in 2025. Anderson is now Creative Director of Dior’s collections, including menswear, womenswear and haute couture, while continuing as founder and creative director of JW Anderson. His projects outside the seasonal calendar include establishing the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize in 2016 and curating Disobedient Bodies at The Hepworth Wakefield in 2017. These chapters are kept distinct: the independent JW Anderson label, the completed Loewe role, Dior’s current all-collections remit, and the foundation and curatorial work are related parts of his practice, not a single undated job.
