John Galliano
John Galliano is a British fashion designer known for theatrical, historically researched runway collections. He graduated from St Martin’s School of Art in 1984; his final collection, Les Incroyables, attracted the attention of London retailer Browns and helped launch his namesake label. He became Givenchy’s head designer in 1995 and was appointed to lead Christian Dior’s women’s collections in 1996, while also developing his own house. After leaving Dior in 2011, he returned to a major fashion-house role as Creative Director of Maison Margiela in 2014. His decade at Margiela ended in 2024.
