Jeremy Guard

Jeremy Guard is a Canadian climber, designer and early leader of Arc'teryx. He joined founder Dave Lane in the North Vancouver equipment company shortly after its 1989 formation, became a partner and helped rename it Arc'teryx in 1991. Guard directed product development around climbing harness construction, thermoformed components, backpacks and technical outerwear, including the influential use of laminated and waterproof materials. His contribution is recorded as early product and business leadership rather than sole founding credit. Later corporate owners, Amer Sports management and current design teams remain separate from that foundational period.
