Georges Salomon

Georges Salomon was a French product developer and business leader who helped build Salomon with his parents, François and Jeanne. The family established its Annecy workshop in 1947, initially producing saw blades and ski edges, and Georges drove its move into safety bindings and complete winter-sports equipment. Under his leadership Salomon expanded internationally and became a major ski-equipment company, with products such as the Skade binding, the SX90 rear-entry boot and later Nordic systems. His contribution is represented as a family co-founder and product leader, while later ownership by adidas and Amer Sports and today's multi-category organisation remain separate chapters.
