Erdem Moralıoğlu

Erdem Moralıoğlu is a Canadian-born British fashion designer and founder of ERDEM. Born in Montreal to a Turkish father and British mother, he completed an MA at the Royal College of Art in London in 2003. After working in New York, including at Diane von Furstenberg’s studio, he launched his first womenswear collection in 2005. His label is known for collections built around detailed research, historical references and a distinctive approach to femininity and craft. Moralıoğlu received the inaugural BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund award in 2010 and the British Fashion Council’s Womenswear Designer of the Year award in 2014. The house opened a Mayfair flagship in 2015, and he was appointed MBE in 2020 for services to fashion. His work has also extended into costume and exhibition design, including a collaboration with The Royal Ballet and a 2024 exhibition at Chatsworth.
