Fashion career profile
Cristopher Nying
Swedish fashion designer and entrepreneur Cristopher Nying co-founded Our Legacy with Jockum Hallin in Stockholm in 2005. The pair first worked on a collection of T-shirts, using a vinyl-printing setup in Nying’s family to create samples before they began selling directly to independent stores around Scandinavia. The company expanded through direct sales and gradual product development rather than a single large launch; a fuller collection was ready by 2007, when the founders also brought in Richardos Klarén as a third partner. Nying’s family printing equipment formed a practical part of the label’s earliest production history, while the brand’s later custom fabrics and modified wardrobe shapes reflected the shared work of the founders. Our Legacy is described by its official site as an independent Stockholm brand. The profile keeps the early co-founder credit distinct from claims about later individual creative responsibility: public sources document Nying’s role in founding and building the business, but do not justify inventing a solo design title or unsupported education path.
