Christopher John Rogers is an American fashion designer and founder of his eponymous New York label. Raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, where the brand began with his senior thesis collection in 2016. Early in his career he gained experience at Rosie Assoulin and Tanya Taylor and worked at Diane von Furstenberg while developing his own collection. Rogers received the top prize at the 2019 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, was named CFDA American Emerging Designer of the Year in 2020 and won American Womenswear Designer of the Year in 2021. His practice is known for expressive colour, volume and formal occasionwear, while his own stated aim is to make emotionally resonant clothes.
