Cecilie Bahnsen

Cecilie Bahnsen is a Danish fashion designer and the founder and Creative Director of her Copenhagen-based label. After graduating in 2007, she interned with John Galliano and later worked there as a print designer and first-line assistant. She completed an MA at the Royal College of Art in London in 2010, then became a design assistant at Erdem in 2011. Bahnsen returned to Copenhagen and launched her namesake label in 2015. Her practice combines couture techniques with ready-to-wear, using fabric development, volume, texture and careful construction to create a distinct visual language. The company has presented collections on the Paris Fashion Week calendar and expanded into shoes, bags and collaborations while keeping its Copenhagen base.
