Carolina Herrera
Carolina Herrera is a Venezuelan-American fashion designer who moved from Caracas to New York and established Carolina Herrera, Ltd. in 1981 after presenting a test collection the previous year. She developed a vocabulary of polished tailoring, eveningwear and the white shirt, then expanded the house into bridal and fragrance. Puig began licensing the fragrance business in 1987 and acquired the company in 1995. Herrera served as founder and creative director through 2018, when she handed collection leadership to Wes Gordon, and remains the house's founding figure.
