Brunello Cucinelli is an Italian entrepreneur and designer who founded his namesake cashmere company in 1978. Born in 1953 in Castel Rigone, he earned a diploma as a surveyor and briefly enrolled in engineering before leaving his studies. His early business idea was to dye cashmere in colours beyond the conventional palette.
