At a glance
Chiuri uses the figure of the witch to question inherited ideas of femininity. A largely black-and-white wardrobe carries torn and scorched effects, the Plan de Paris motif and darker floral imagery. Elena Bellantoni’s NOT HER installation supplies the show’s visual counterpoint, turning sexist advertising language into an immersive artwork.
The witch figure
A symbol historically attached to women becomes the starting point for a different wardrobe.
Black and white
The restricted palette sharpens motifs, surface treatments and contrasts.
NOT HER
Bellantoni’s installation extends the collection’s question of how women are represented.
The setting
LVMH documents Bellantoni’s immersive scenery and its contrast with the black-and-white clothes.
