At a glance
The relationship between clothing and the body anchors a collection of long, straight silhouettes. Leoni uses simplification to sharpen familiar items: suits, trenches, blousons and dresses. Details such as open backs and absent sleeves interrupt the controlled outline. Reworked 1976 denim and the house’s handwritten logo connect that investigation to Calvin Klein’s earlier image-making, across women’s and men’s looks.
Reduction sharpens the form
Lean tailoring and extended lines concentrate attention on proportion and the body.
Denim returns to the archive
A 1976 reference and the longhand logo give everyday pieces a historical thread.
Precision with exposure
Unexpected openings and contrasts between surfaces disturb an otherwise controlled silhouette.
The setting
Presented at The Shed in Hudson Yards on 13 February. This runway collection included women’s and men’s looks.
