Brand intelligence
Theory
Theory is a New York fashion brand founded in 1997 by Andrew Rosen and Elie Tahari around stretch tailoring and a modular urban wardrobe. Fast Retailing first invested in the business and completed its acquisition in 2009, placing Theory within a wider group that also includes Uniqlo, GU and other labels. The brand operates menswear and womenswear while its design leadership has changed over time. Fast Retailing group and Global Brands segment results include businesses beyond Theory, so they are not presented as audited standalone Theory revenue unless explicitly disaggregated.
